Plans are under way for the 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Air Show which will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The air show will see a salute to our military and the return of the B-25 Bomber, Team Vortex Air Show, the Ping Pong Ball Drop, KC Flight Formation Team and new acts to be announced soon. P-51 Mustang Ride Oppurtunity
The Lake of the Ozarks Air Show is in the planning process of the 2013 Air Show.  In an effort to keep the Air Show free we are relaying on our sponsors to fund the event.  We have an opportunity to secure a P-51 Mustang (World War II U.S. fighter) performance if six rides can be sold.  The ride is approximately a 30 min ride over the lake where the full performance of the P-51 can be experienced.  This is a once in a life time opportunity that will be rare at the Lake of The Ozarks.  The ride will include many photo opportunities in and by the plane.  The rides could be taken Friday September 20 in the afternoon, Saturday September 21 in coordination with Air Show, or possibly Sunday September 22.  To bring this historic aircraft to The Lake and cover their cost they would like a commitment of seven rides.  The Air Show funds would be willing to cover one for an auction.  We need to get commitments on six rides and a signed contract by March 15 to book this historic aircraft. The rides are selling for $1650.00 apiece.  There are no guarantees this aircraft will be available to us in the future.  There are very few in the country restored and licensed to give rides.  Money is fully refundable if weather or unknown circumstances prevent the aircraft from coming to the Lake of The Ozarks Air Show.  To book your ride, call the Camdenton chamber at 573-346-2227 or email:  info@camdentonchamber.com
